Written in 1980, Translations is a three-act play by Irish playwright Brian Friel. The play is set in the Donegal townland of Baile Beag (Ballybeg) in 19th century agricultural Ireland.
This is the first in a series of Leaving Certificate curriculum plays, providing young people in the southeast with the opportunity to see their Leaving Cert drama brought to life on stage.
