Title

Disturbance

Subject

Poems deals with a storm early in the year and the invisible storm that touched down later

Description

Disturbance

The storm came angry with wind and rain

Clouds scudding across the sky in pain

Snowdrops bowed their heads in submission

Daffodils waved about keeping their position

Trees dipped their branches in a most alarming way

Dancing to and fro with creaking sounds as they sway

Visible signs of damage, all around our land

A different storm. A stranger comes with an invisible hand

Stealthily creeping up on an unsuspecting population

Bringing fear, mental anguish, sickness and suffocation

We will fight this tempest. Stand tall like the oak tree

Our land and people will someday be totally free

Nobody wants to live their life in total isolation

Darkness has fallen no words to describe desolation

Be brave and show courage. Shine a light with faith and hope

Love and kindness gives us all, the strength to cope
