<em>Alice is 12 and a half years of age and it bothers her to be thought of as a child. Why do all these other people get to make decisions, confuse her and boss her?</em> <br /><br />With a cast of 21 young people from County Kilkenny, this abridged interpretation of <strong>Alice in Wonderland</strong> is influenced by steampunk, which incorporates technology into 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery.

A Millennium open-air spectacle in Kells, celebrating Kilkenny's heritage and people. Featuring the play 'The Ballad of Rory Roe' written by Ken Bourke. <br /><br />The grounds of Kells Priory were transformed into a medieval settlement for this specatular pageant celebrating the history of Ossory through music, drama and theatre.

Curriculum Play Live (2017): The Plough and the Stars by Sean O' Casey

<strong>The Plough and the Stars</strong> is set during the turbulence of the Easter 1916 rebellion. It premiered in 1926 at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. The first two acts take place in 1915, looking forward to the liberation of Ireland, and the last two acts are set during 1916's Easter Rising.<br /><br />The second in a series of Leaving Certificate curriculum plays, providing young people in the southeast with the opportunity to see their Leaving Cert drama brought to life on stage.<br /><br /><strong><em>Curriculum Play Live</em></strong> is a joint Barnstorm and Watergate initiative.

Christy (Bullet) Brady wants to be the fastest runner in his street. When the Easter Rising kicks off revolution is the last thing on his mind. <br /><br /><em>The Messenger</em> looks at the impact of the Rising on ordinary families like the Brady's. The play offers the opportunity to take a wider view of children's lives in conflict today. For children age 8+ <br /><br /><strong>A free drama workshop</strong> exploring the play's themes was provided to County Kilkenny schools, along with a <strong>Teachers' Resource Pack,</strong> created by local historian and teacher Ann Murtagh. This initiative was funded by <a href="https://www.kilkennycoco.ie/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kilkenny County Council</a> as part of its <em>2016 Centenary Programme.</em>

A Murder of Crows (2011) by Mike Kenny
<em>A Murder of Crows</em> is a dynamic and theatrically exciting work for children aged 8 and over, based on the classic tale of Hansel and Gretel. The play explores themes of famine, family loyalties and personal growth. <br /><br />Six actors weave a gothic story of two children’s journey from abandonment and fear to ultimate survival, seen from the quirky perspective of a chorus of raucous and garrulous crows, whose boisterous antics will delight children.<br /><br />For children aged 8 and older.
